Updated tariffs following the U.S. Supreme Court ruling and implemented
tariffs under Section 122
In response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision last Friday on the tariffs imposed under the IEEPA,
Here are the duties that have ceased to be levied on customs entries since Feb 24 12:00am
35% (IEEPA Fentanyl) on Canadian non-CUSMA products (Executive Order 14193)
25% (IEEPA Fentanyl) on non-CUSMA Mexican products (Executive Order 14194)
10% (IEEPA Fentanyl) on Chinese products (Executive Order 14195)
Removal of Customs Duties on Venezuelan Petroleum Importing Countries (Executive Order 14245)
End of Reciprocal Customs Duties (Executive Order 14257)
End of Additional Customs Duties on Products from Brazil (Executive Order 14323)
End of additional duties related to Russian petroleum products (Executive Order 14329)
What remains in place:
All sectoral customs duties under Section 232
Steel
Aluminium
Copper
Auto/Auto parts
Medium and Heavy Trucks/Parts
Timber/Lumber and others
All Section 301 Rights
In addition:
Section 122 imposes 10% customs duties on all products with some exceptions, for all origins, for 150 days.
Products under CUSMA are exempt from this measure
Regarding refunds of fees paid under the IEEPA
The court’s judgment did not contain any information or instructions regarding possible remedies for the recovery of the duties paid.
